Providing knowledge and raising awareness about palliative care is one of our major roles at CANE – Sri Lanka. We continuously conduct palliative care awareness and educational programmes for healthcare professionals, particularly members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. On 20 August 2026, as usual, the 4th-year medical students of the University of Jaffna visited our Hospice and gained informative knowledge on palliative care.

A felicitation ceremony for our community health workers was organised by RDHS Kilinochi as they are going to complete phase 2 of the project. They appreciated CANE for the services provided through this project. The Secretary for the Provincial Health Department also participated and issued the tokens of appreciation.
